Ramona Lovin (deputat AUR): „Senatul a adoptat proiectul de lege al AUR privind Medalia „Ilie Ilașcu”. Identitatea românească nu se negociază!”

The Romanian Senate has approved a bill to establish the "Ilie Ilașcu" Medal, honoring those who defend Romanian identity abroad. The initiative, led by AUR deputy Ramona Lovin, aims to recognize the sacrifices made by individuals preserving Romanian culture and language in historical communities outside the country. While most senators supported the bill, some from PNL and the "Pace – Întâi România" group abstained, which Lovin criticized as a lack of commitment to honoring national identity. The bill will now proceed to the Chamber of Deputies for final approval, with Lovin pledging to continue advocating for it.
