Ramona Lovin (deputat AUR): „Senatul a adoptat proiectul de lege al AUR privind Medalia „Ilie Ilașcu”. Identitatea românească nu se negociază!”

The Romanian Senate has approved a bill to establish the "Ilie Ilașcu" Medal, honoring those who defend Romanian identity abroad. The initiative, led by AUR deputy Ramona Lovin, aims to recognize the sacrifices made by individuals preserving Romanian culture and language in historical communities outside the country. While most senators supported the bill, some from PNL and the "Pace – Întâi România" group abstained, raising concerns about the importance of acknowledging such efforts. Lovin emphasized that patriotism should be demonstrated through actions and laws, not just speeches. The bill will now proceed to the Chamber of Deputies for final approval.
