Rămășițele pământești ale Țarului Samuil au ajuns în Bulgaria / Au fost depuse în bazilica „Sfânta Sofia” / Premierul Radev: E un moment istoric
The remains of Tsar Samuel have been repatriated to Bulgaria after over a millennium, following a historic agreement with Greece. The official handover took place in Thessaloniki, attended by both Bulgarian and Greek prime ministers. The remains, discovered in 1969, were transported to Sofia with military honors and received a solemn state ceremony. Prime Minister Rumen Radev emphasized the significance of this moment for Bulgaria and the importance of the agreement with Greece, thanking all those involved in the repatriation efforts. The remains will be placed in a specially constructed sarcophagus in the Basilica of St. Sofia.
