Rămășițele a peste 700 de morți, îngropate la aproape 6 decenii de la războiul din Vietnam
Thousands gathered in Ho Chi Minh City to honor 731 remains believed to be victims of the 1968 Tet Offensive, buried after decades of searching. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung attended the memorial service, where remains were interred in the Martyrs' Cemetery. The Tet Offensive, a major campaign during the Vietnam War, began on January 31, 1968, leading to significant casualties and a shift in public opinion in the U.S. Despite the war's end in 1975, many families still seek their missing relatives, with around 175,000 soldiers' remains yet to be recovered. The recovery of these remains is part of a national campaign to locate and identify approximately 7,000 war casualties by July 2027.
