Rămași fără mamă, patru pui de urs de la Zărnești primesc o nouă șansă într-un parc natural din Franța

Four orphaned bear cubs from Zărnești have been relocated to a natural park in France after losing their mother. This move highlights the challenges of bear populations in Romania, where numbers exceed sustainable levels. The sanctuary founder emphasized the need for better waste management to prevent bears from entering urban areas. The relocation was a collaborative effort, ensuring the cubs remain together in their new home, which spans 120 hectares and houses various European wildlife. Romania's bear population is currently around 13,000, significantly above the optimal number.
