Raiffeisen Bank contestă în instanță amenda Consiliului Concurenței în dosarul ROBOR: „Nu există dovezi privind o eventuală înțelegere”

Raiffeisen Bank contests the Competition Council's fine regarding alleged collusion in setting ROBOR rates, asserting lack of evidence for any wrongdoing. The bank plans to appeal the decision in court, emphasizing that ROBOR rates are determined by a regulated mechanism overseen by the National Bank of Romania. The Competition Council previously fined ten banks a total of 3.73 billion lei for coordinating their behavior in the fixing process, which allegedly affected the independence of the rates. Other banks, including ING, also reject the accusations and intend to challenge the sanctions, claiming compliance with legal regulations.
