Rafinăriile Petromidia și Vega reduc consumul de energie electrică în vârf, centrala nouă de la Midia va crește livrările în SEN - Economica.net

KMG International has launched an energy consumption optimization program at its Petromidia and Vega refineries to address national energy system pressures. The measures, initiated on August 5, aim to reduce peak consumption without disrupting operations. This includes operational adjustments and rescheduling activities outside critical times, allowing for a reduction of approximately 5 MW during peak hours. The company highlights that the optimization of the coking plant at Petromidia will cut electric load by about 2.2 MW. Additionally, the cogeneration plant can increase energy deliveries to the national grid by over 50%. A planned shutdown of the LDPE facility will further reduce energy consumption by around 8 MW. KMG International is committed to maintaining high production levels at its refineries while ensuring fuel availability.
