Raed Arafat, inculpat în dosarul privind recepția unui elicopter pentru DSU. Reacția acestuia
Raed Arafat, head of the Emergency Situations Department, has been indicted in a case regarding the import of a helicopter without customs formalities, allegedly causing a loss of over 4.4 million lei in VAT. He denies the accusations, claiming they are an abuse and asserting that the timing of the information release was intended to damage his reputation. Arafat stated he will not resign, emphasizing his commitment to his role despite the ongoing investigation. The case is linked to a 2016 helicopter crash in Moldova, and the new helicopter was brought from Guernsey without fulfilling necessary customs procedures. Arafat argues that the process was transparent and that he had no direct responsibility for the administrative formalities involved.
