On July 25, a drone was intercepted and shot down by an F-16 within 11 minutes of entering Romanian airspace. Miruță emphasized the importance of investing in modern military capabilities and acknowledged the volatile security situation near Romania. He confirmed that the origin of the downed drone will be determined after analysis, and Romania maintains communication with Ukraine while seeking NATO support.
