This intervention aims to improve navigation and dredging in the area, as 85% of the Danube's flow currently goes through Bala, disadvantaging Cernavodă. Divers confirmed that four meters of rock were displaced, exceeding initial estimates. Heavy machinery will be used to extract the dislodged rock, with plans for further dredging operations. The central at Cernavodă may face operational changes as a result of these adjustments.
