Interim Transport Minister Radu Miruță visited the site of barge sinking operations in the Danube to support Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. The operation aims to redirect part of the Danube's flow to prolong the operation of Unit 2. Two additional barges are scheduled for sinking on Saturday. The process was delayed due to safety concerns, and each barge takes about 3-4 hours to sink. Currently, reactor number 2 is functioning normally, but without this operation, it may need to be shut down in 5-6 days.
