Radu Miruță, replică pentru Traian Băsescu după criticile privind scufundarea barjelor

Interim Defense Minister Radu Miruță addressed Traian Băsescu's criticisms regarding the sinking of barges in the Danube, stating that specialists' actions extended the operation of the Cernavodă reactor. He explained that the measures taken, including rock detonation and barge sinking, increased water levels, although initial forecasts were not met. Miruță emphasized that without these interventions, the reactor would have been shut down. He reassured that water levels are continuously monitored and decisions about the reactor's operation will depend on upcoming assessments. Miruță expressed confidence in the specialists' recommendations, acknowledging their partial success.
