Romanian Defense Minister Radu Miruță reported over 100 unique-use drones detected near Romania's airspace, with several attacking Ukrainian ports. He noted a correlation between drone attacks and debris found on Romanian shores. Miruță highlighted the response of Spanish F-18 fighters to a drone entering Romanian airspace, showcasing NATO's commitment. Romania has contracted modern anti-drone capabilities, with deliveries expected from late 2023 to mid-2026. He acknowledged earlier procurement could have expedited these capabilities but emphasized ongoing adaptations to existing equipment.
