Radu Miruţă: Opt centimetri câştigaţi la Cernavodă. Cel puţin alte 9 zile pentru Unitatea 2

The interim Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, announced an 8 cm rise in the Danube's water level near the Cernavodă nuclear plant, ensuring its continued operation. This increase follows recent dredging and barge operations. Miruță expressed gratitude to all involved in the efforts to manage the water levels. The current conditions allow for at least nine more days of operation for Unit 2 of the plant. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan previously indicated that the reactor could function for four to five days under decreasing water levels. The second barge was successfully submerged to redirect part of the Danube's flow.
