The interim Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, announced that a drone entering Romanian airspace was shot down after 15 minutes. The drone traveled from Ukraine through Moldova before entering Romania and was neutralized by a Spanish pilot in a remote area of Galați County. The drone was detected by Spanish F-18 fighter jets, which were on air policing duty. Authorities are still determining the type and origin of the drone, and an investigation is underway to recover and analyze its remains. Miruță reassured the public about the military's readiness to protect the population.
