Radu Miruță, despre acțiunile de amânare a închiderii Centralei de la Cernavodă: Un câștig parțial

Interim Minister of Defense and Transport, Radu Miruță, stated that operations to extend the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's functioning are a partial success. The interventions allowed for a few extra days of operation, despite the plant's imminent shutdown. Measures taken were based on a technical report from Apele Române, which requested assistance for geological issues affecting operations. Miruță noted that while nearly a week was gained, more time was desired. This announcement follows Apele Române's warning about critical conditions in the Danube affecting the plant's operations, with Unit 2 potentially shutting down soon, risking a significant loss in Romania's electricity production.
