The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, announced significant changes for the future Board of Directors of CNAIR, focusing on performance evaluation and accountability. A new letter of expectations outlines specific results required from the board for the 2027-2031 mandate. Key measures include annual reports on road conditions, public transparency in contracts, and stricter performance indicators. The remuneration of board members will be tied to achieving over 85% of performance targets. Additionally, a public registry for bridges and a GPS monitoring system for maintenance equipment will be implemented. The new board will also conduct a heritage audit within the first 100 days.
