Romanian Air Force Day was celebrated with a flyover of 39 aircraft, attended by Defense Minister Radu Miruță and several officials. The event honors St. Elijah, the spiritual patron of the Air Forces since 1913. However, the ceremony was overshadowed by legal issues involving military leaders, including General Gheorghiță Vlad, who faces charges of complicity in usurpation of function, and Raed Arafat, investigated for alleged contraband with a SMURD helicopter.
