Putin reglementează piața criptomonedelor în Rusia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law establishing a comprehensive regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and digital assets. The legislation outlines operational guidelines for trading platforms, investors, and the use of cryptocurrencies for goods and services payments. It regulates digital currency organization, accounting, custody, and mining activities. Only entities registered in a special registry can conduct digital currency exchange activities, with a minimum capital requirement. The law prohibits the use of digital currencies as legal payment methods in Russia, with some exceptions for foreign trade and mining. Retail investors face limits on cryptocurrency purchases, while qualified investors have fewer restrictions. Key provisions will take effect between 2026 and 2027.
