Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a decree transferring the Russian assets of Nestle, Auchan, and Leroy Merlin to a single Russian company, L.E.V. Management. This company, established in late 2025 and led by a general from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has no known owners and has not conducted any commercial activities. The decree also includes the transfer of assets from FM Logistic's Russian subsidiaries. Many multinational companies have exited Russia or had their assets seized since the onset of the Ukraine invasion and subsequent sanctions. Auchan and Leroy Merlin, both part of the Mulliez family, have numerous stores in Russia, while Nestle's assets mentioned in the decree belong to its German and product divisions.
