Between July 20-23, border police at Henri Coandă International Airport uncovered multiple cases of false travel documents and illegal migration attempts. Over 32,000 undeclared cigarettes and 1.5 kg of tobacco were confiscated. Four individuals attempting to board a flight to Dublin presented fake Norwegian and Irish passports, while a woman traveling to Paris was found with a fake Irish passport and 15 counterfeit identity documents. Authorities are investigating potential links between these cases. Additionally, a Turkish citizen was stopped for using a business visa for tourism, leading to her return to Istanbul and a six-month Schengen ban. The border police will continue their efforts to combat illegal migration and cross-border crime.
