Supporters of Călin Georgescu protested in front of the Romanian Embassy in Belgium, demanding his release from preventive detention related to a fraud case. The demonstration in Brussels saw many Romanians expressing solidarity, holding signs and chanting slogans in support of Georgescu. Organizers criticized Romanian authorities for undermining democracy through his arrest and the cancellation of the upcoming elections. Georgescu, currently in custody, thanked his supporters via a Facebook message, urging them to pray. In Bucharest, around 200 supporters gathered outside the Central Arrest, echoing their support with chants, including 'We are all Călin Georgescu.'
