The scandal emerged after reports of a private flight involving former PSD Minister Florin Manole and others. Manole defended the flight's funding and criticized USR for past issues. AUR expressed support for the inquiry but pointed out USR's previous voting behavior. Despite the protests, the inquiry committee was not voted on, while a separate committee was formed in the Senate, with no attendees present at its sessions.
