Protest în Piața Victoriei, la 8 ani de la reprimarea violentă a manifestației din 10 august 2018

A protest organized by the 'Corruption Kills' community took place in Victoriei Square, marking eight years since the violent repression of the August 10, 2018 demonstration. Participants expressed disappointment with the lack of accountability for those responsible for the violence. They carried signs demanding justice and accountability, highlighting the ongoing struggle for truth regarding the events of that night. The protest emphasized the need for a judicial system that does not allow state violence against citizens to go unpunished. As the statute of limitations approaches, there are concerns that the case may be closed without resolution, reflecting a broader pattern of state violence in Romania's history.
