Prostituate înregistrate în Germania: Peste o treime sunt românce
By the end of 2025, Germany recorded approximately 32,500 sex workers, with a third being Romanian. The number has slightly increased due to multiple crises affecting Europe. Although the figure is lower than pre-COVID levels, economic instability has pushed many women into prostitution. Legal since 2002, sex workers in Germany have rights and obligations, including annual medical check-ups. In Romania, prostitution is decriminalized but not regulated, with ongoing debates about legalizing it to generate tax revenue.
