Proprietarul Lidl va investi 5,6 miliarde de euro într-un centru de date amplasat în nordul Germaniei

Schwarz Group plans to invest €5.6 billion in a data center near Rostock, Germany, aiming for 240 megawatts capacity by 2033. This investment will enhance cloud and AI capabilities in Europe. The company is also building a similar center in Brandenburg, with costs estimated at €11 billion. Schwarz Digits, the tech division, aims to compete with major US cloud providers and reported €2.2 billion in revenue last fiscal year. Lidl operates around 12,600 stores globally, employing over 382,400 people, including 14,000 in Romania.
