Promovarea României, uitată în depozit din 2006: Statul a plătit milioane de lei pe albume degradate și care se vând pe internet. Ministrul Economiei a sesizat DNA - Economica.net

The Romanian Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, has reported irregularities in the purchase of tourism promotion albums, leading to a referral to the National Anticorruption Directorate. In 2006, the state paid over 2.6 million lei for 75,000 albums about the Merry Cemetery in Săpânța, but over 40,000 copies worth more than 1.4 million lei were unaccounted for. The albums are still being sold online, raising concerns about the management of public funds. The Minister highlighted ongoing issues with tourism promotional materials purchased over the last two decades, including unaddressed findings from the Court of Accounts regarding unsold stock worth over 4 million lei. He emphasized the need for accountability and proper management of public resources.
