Following the arrest of Gregor Hudohmet, the company has initiated an audit and appointed interim directors. The project, which involves a significant contract for energy storage, is under scrutiny as both Hudohmet and Cristian Theodor Dragomir from Waldevar Energy were implicated in a bribery scandal. Waldevar has distanced itself from the corruption claims, emphasizing its commitment to integrity and legal compliance. The company had previously initiated internal checks on Dragomir due to irregularities.
