The project aims to secure water flow for the Cernavodă nuclear power plant, which has faced operational challenges due to low river levels. The total investment is estimated at over 1 billion lei, with a planned implementation period of five years. Funding will primarily come from the state budget, as the Ministry of Transport has exceeded its European funding capacity.
