Proiectul cablului submarin Georgia – România intră în etapa pregătirii studiului marin

The strategic underwater high-voltage cable project connecting Romania and Georgia has entered a new preparation phase, focusing on marine studies and implementation coordination. A workshop organized by Transelectrica discussed the cable route, Romanian authorization, and necessary investments for integrating 1,300 MW into the National Energy System. The project aims to enhance energy source diversification and strengthen EU-Caucasus interconnections, with an estimated cost of €3.5 billion. It is part of the Green Energy Corridor initiative, facilitating electricity transport from the Caspian region to the EU.
