Proiectul Bala 2, deblocat din cauza secetei

The Romanian government is expediting a strategic project to ensure sufficient water flow for cooling nuclear reactors at Cernavodă due to alarming low levels of the Danube. The Interministerial Committee Bala 2 has been established to quickly analyze technical solutions for increasing the flow of the Old Danube towards Cernavodă. The committee aims to review the feasibility study of the Bala 2 project and assess the current data regarding the river's conditions. The project, which has received environmental approval, is expected to be funded by the state budget and aims to address the urgent need for dredging works in the area. Collaboration among various institutions will continue to ensure timely data collection and analysis.
