Proiect uriaș de stocare a CO₂ sub Marea Nordului, susținut de UE

The Havstjerne project for CO₂ storage under the North Sea is nearing its final investment decision, supported by €225 million from the EU. Developed in Norway's sector, it aims to capture CO₂ from European industries, transport it offshore, and inject it into geological formations for permanent storage. Harbour Energy leads the project, with SLB selected for engineering work to determine system functionality and costs. The project will allow for the storage of 42.75 million tons of CO₂ in its first decade, utilizing a unique method of liquefying and transporting CO₂ by specially designed ships. This offshore system is designed for multiple industrial sources across Europe, enhancing its accessibility.
