Proiect unic în țară: Un viaduct din timpul Austro-Ungariei va fi transformat în promenadă. Investiție de 25 milioane de lei la Sovata

A viaduct from the Austro-Hungarian period in Sovata will be transformed into a panoramic promenade through a project funded by over 25 million lei from European funds. The initiative aims to convert an old railway structure into a green pedestrian space while preserving its original architecture. The project, which has received funding through the Just Transition Program 2021-2027, will modernize the viaduct and surrounding areas, creating a sustainable urban corridor. The mayor emphasized the uniqueness of this industrial heritage conversion, with plans for a public space of nearly 6,000 square meters, new lighting, and urban furniture. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2029.
