Sector 4 has progressed from building a single metro station to managing a major transport infrastructure project. Violeta Boerescu, spokesperson for Sector 4, noted the legislative changes enabling local authorities to oversee such investments. The extension of Metro Line M4 from Gara de Nord to Gara Progresul is now underway, valued at 3.5 billion euros, funded by EU transport programs. This project involves collaboration with various institutions, showcasing the importance of EU funds in local infrastructure projects, including housing rehabilitation and healthcare facilities.
