The Romanian government has established the TechUp Romania support scheme, allocating 1 billion EUR for technology firms investing in the country. Projects must have eligible costs between 5 and 50 million lei, with components for research and production. Notably, an advance of up to 30% of the grant can be provided for research development. The scheme covers various technological fields, with different support intensities depending on the region. Bucharest is not eligible for state aid.
