The Rabla program will finance only vehicles manufactured in the EU from 2027 to 2030, as outlined in the government plan submitted by Luca Niculescu. This change aims to support the automotive industry transitioning to electric vehicles. The government also plans to revive public transport purchases and advocate for the automotive sector in Brussels. A previous condition regarding vehicle origin was postponed for Rabla 2026, which started on July 20 with a budget of 300 million lei. The interest in electric vehicles was high, with the budget for them exhausted in just 10 days, receiving 6,724 applications.
