In the 2026-2027 school year, approximately 2,480 first-time students in Maramureș will receive fully equipped backpacks as part of the 'Primul ghiozdan' program. This initiative aims to support families by providing essential school supplies to help children start their educational journey successfully. The program, initiated in 2017, continues to receive funding from the County Council, which has allocated 290,000 lei for this purpose. Each backpack will include necessary items such as pens, notebooks, and art supplies, ensuring that children feel confident and supported as they enter school for the first time.
