Programul Geologic Național, deblocat după opt ani. Ce urmează pentru resursele minerale ale României
The National Geological Program, stalled for eight years, is set to proceed following the government's approval of methodological norms. Interim Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, announced new research initiatives to assess Romania's mineral resources. The program aims to update information on mineral resources, identify investment opportunities, and evaluate critical raw materials. Darău emphasized the need for modern geological research to support industry development and reduce import dependency. The program will also investigate tailings ponds and waste heaps for potential valuable resources. Funding of five million lei per year is allocated, and the next steps include setting research priorities and selecting specialized entities for project execution.
