Programul de lucru instabil, un risc ascuns pentru sănătate. Diferențe între femei și bărbați

A new study reveals that not only the number of hours worked affects health, but also the unpredictability of those hours. Analyzing over 61,000 working-age Americans, it shows that significant fluctuations in work hours are linked to a higher likelihood of health deterioration, especially among men. For women, health impacts are more likely to manifest through reduced work hours or job abandonment due to health issues. The research highlights the importance of including those who leave the workforce due to health problems, as they may skew the perceived risks of precarious work. This phenomenon is known as the 'healthy worker effect.'
