The Romanian government plans to adopt a comprehensive digital governance law emphasizing data interoperability and the principle of 'once only'. This includes establishing a National Interoperability Platform and ensuring that all public services adhere to common technical standards. New IT systems will be hosted in a Government Cloud, with existing systems migrating based on a structured plan. The government will also implement the European AI Regulation, ensuring standardized practices for AI use in administration. Additionally, cybersecurity measures will be strengthened, including the establishment of a cybersecurity barometer and enhanced incident response capabilities.
