Transelectrica reported a significant net profit increase of 39% in the first half of the year, reaching 356 million lei. Despite a decrease in domestic energy consumption, higher regulated tariffs and interconnection revenues boosted the company's financial performance. Operational revenues rose by 19% to 1.36 billion lei, driven by increased transport income and emergency aid revenues. The rise in regulated tariff income was influenced by a tariff increase effective January 2026. Operational expenses also grew by 9%, primarily due to system operation costs. Overall, the company’s market valuation stands at approximately 8.3 billion lei.
