Profitul Nuclearelectrica la șase luni a crescut cu 36% față de aceeași perioadă a anului trecut

Nuclearelectrica reported a net profit of 1.183 billion lei for the first half of 2026, marking a 36.6% increase from the previous year. The operational profit also rose by 33.7%, driven by higher electricity sales and the elimination of the energy transition fund contribution. However, operating expenses increased by 15.3%, primarily due to higher energy acquisition costs. Financial results improved with a 23% rise in net financial income, while tax expenses grew by 36.2%. Production faced challenges as the Cernavodă plant was completely shut down due to low water levels in the Danube.
