Profitul net al OMV Petrom a scăzut cu 14% în primul semestru din 2026, la 1,8 miliarde lei

OMV Petrom reported a net profit of 1.8 billion lei for the first half of 2026, a 14% decrease from the previous year, influenced by lower interest income and a solidarity tax. The company faced significant commodity price volatility due to geopolitical tensions, while operational results, excluding special items, reached 3 billion lei, a 21% increase. Investments totaled 3.7 billion lei, with a 29% rise in contributions to the state budget. The exploration and production segment saw a slight profit increase, while refining and marketing profits rose by 33%. The company is focusing on energy supply reliability and plans to invest 9 billion lei in 2026 to enhance Romania's energy production capacity.
