Profitul net al OMV Petrom a scăzut cu 14% în primul semestru, la 1,8 miliarde de lei

OMV Petrom reported a net profit of 1.8 billion lei for the first half of 2026, down 14% from last year, impacted by lower financial results and a solidarity tax. Operational results improved, with a 21% increase in operating profit to 3 billion lei, driven by better performance in Gas and Energy and Refining divisions. The company plans to invest 9 billion lei this year in strategic energy projects in Romania, including the Neptun Deep project. The Refining and Marketing division saw a 33% rise in operational results, while the Gas and Energy division returned to operational profit. OMV Petrom is accelerating investments in energy transition projects, including wind and solar energy.
