The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) conducted checks on over 1,500 businesses, uncovering expired or degraded products, unsafe playgrounds, and unsanitary cooking equipment. Fines exceeded 3.78 million lei, with 983 penalties issued and 663 warnings. Issues included poor product quality, inadequate service conditions, and lack of proper consumer information. Some products were permanently removed from sale, while others were temporarily halted until issues were resolved. The ANPC also suspended services for 17 businesses until deficiencies were corrected.
