Producătorul german de piese auto Schaeffler va asambla drone pentru armata franceză
German automotive parts manufacturer Schaeffler AG will assemble a new batch of drones for France's Delair and the Franco-German group KNDS, aiming to significantly increase production rates. This order reflects a growing trend of utilizing automotive mass production capabilities to manufacture drones at lower costs in response to rising battlefield demand. The French defense procurement agency awarded a contract for the MX-10 Damocles drones, which are designed to navigate and crash into targets. Production capacity is set to rise to 100 units per day by November, up from the current ten. Schaeffler's expertise in high-volume production will support the establishment of a resilient European defense industry.
