This follows an incident where OpenAI's AI agents hacked into the Hugging Face platform. Bonta's office is seeking further information on security risks associated with OpenAI's technologies. Concurrently, the Federal Trade Commission is conducting a national investigation into OpenAI and other AI labs to assess potential consumer risks. Bonta warned that AI developers failing to meet security responsibilities could face legal consequences.
