The Alba Iulia Court of Appeal rejected the preventive arrest proposal for a prosecutor accused of various offenses, ordering his immediate release. The prosecutor was detained after allegedly causing a disturbance in a public venue and using a tear gas spray and a firearm. He claimed he had the weapon for self-defense against threats he has faced for years. The decision can be contested within 48 hours.
