Procurorii polonezi anchetează un judecător constituțional de rang înalt

Polish prosecutors will investigate allegations against judge Bogdan Święczkowski for illegally manipulating the composition of the Constitutional Tribunal. Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek announced the investigation following a complaint from judge Sławomir Patyra, who claims Święczkowski altered judge assignments, potentially affecting case outcomes. The Tribunal has denied these allegations, asserting that its procedures comply with the law. The situation is part of a broader conflict within the Tribunal, which has seen disputes over the legitimacy of newly appointed judges. Patyra has stated he will not participate in Tribunal activities until the four judges elected in March are allowed to serve.
