Procurorii Gigi Ștefan şi Teodor Niță au fost trimişi în judecată pentru corupţie

Prosecutors Gigi Ștefan and Teodor Niță have been indicted for corruption, facing serious charges including influence peddling and instigation to abuse of office. They have been in preventive detention since May 15. Alongside them, businessman Mihale Cartali and former PSD county councilor Dumitru Daniel Learciu are also charged. Gigi Ștefan allegedly received large sums of money and gifts in exchange for favorable resolutions of criminal cases. Teodor Niță is accused of attempting to influence a fire inspector to avoid legal actions against a company linked to him. Both prosecutors have extensive experience in the judiciary, with Ștefan having served as the chief prosecutor of the Constanța Court of Appeal.
